The Power Taekwondo women's national team took third place in the women's team event of the 2024 World Taekwondo

(WT) World Cup Team Championship Series.

Kim Ga-yeon (Korea Gas Corporation), Ahn Hye-young (Yeongcheon City Hall), Oh Seung-joo (Kyunghee University), and

Hong Hyo-rim (Yongin University) lost to Iran with a round score of 0-2 (155-175 130-155) in the semifinals of the

women's team event held at the Air Dome in Songam Sports Town, Chuncheon, Gangwon-do on the 2nd, but won a

complete victory over India with a score of 2-0 (160-70, 190-25) in the 3rd-4th place match.

Iran won the tournament by beating Morocco in the 토토 final.

The World Cup Team Championship Series is an international competition conducted in the Power Taekwondo format.

The contestants compete in a way that the first one to deplete their opponent's power bar of 200 points is the winner.

The Korea Taekwondo Association held the Power Taekwondo competition for domestic athletes from 2019 to 2022, and it

was reorganized into an international World Cup competition hosted by WT last year.

On the same day, the association also held the 2024 KTA Dynamic Taekwondo Championships to select the best

Taekwondo performance team in the country at the same venue.

A total of 8 university teams participated, and Kyungmin University won the championship.
